Now that I've turned 34 I've started to ask myself some very difficult questions, most of which are relationship related. Things like whether or not I plan to get married or even start dating again. Don't misunderstand me; I love men. They're gorgeous works of art that provide countless hours of fun and excitement. But when I'm going it alone, I'm quite happy and in all honesty, I'm at my best. It seems when I have a relationship with a man, I lose a bit of myself and in turn I lose my happiness. Whether that's down to the guy or to me I'm really not sure.

I am happy to say that I haven't always felt this way. I had my first date at the age of 17 and my first real boyfriend at the age of 20. In addition to my career, I always wanted to get married. My plans were to go to college, get a career established, meet my soul mate, get married a few years later and finally have two kids. I am delighted to say that the career portion of my life panned out well.

Suffice it to say that my dating life has been one Mr. Wrong after another. Wrong for me, not wrong in general. I've tried internet dating, blind dates, the club and bar scene, networking events. Heck, there isn't an avenue that I've left unexplored in my quest to meet a guy.

And though the travelling was fun; I met a lot of really interesting people, my social life was beginning to resemble a roller coaster. Lots of highs, followed by lots of lows. Sure, being young is all about having fun, but as I got older I began to mature.

I had no idea that adult life would sneak up on me, but it did. I guess paying rent and other bills may have contributed to this change in attitude. I no longer found it cute when my boyfriend came home wasted or when he flirted with other women while sitting across the table with me.

Reluctantly, I have decided to "throw in the towel", hang up my shoestrings", "retire my jersey", and so on and so on. I have decided to grow old gracefully and single. The good part is that I look forward to not having to share my bed, or possibly deal with someone else's problems. The sad part is that there will be very little or even no more being awakened at 2:00 in the morning for lovemaking. Oh well, thank goodness for the specialty catalogues and AA batteries!

Hey, I love myself and I don't have to worry about being cheated on or reminded of how pretty I was when we first met. Having a website is only effective if the content of the site is easily readable for visitors. Otherwise, even great content will not be able to do its job. While this may sound very basic, readability is a major issue that a high percentage of websites struggle with. Reading from a screen can be difficult, so readability should be a primary concern during design.

Here we will discuss some of the most important factors that will determine the level of readability for websites.

Spacing

Many websites have problems with spacing, especially content-heavy sites. Trying to fit huge amounts of content into small areas of above the fold will make it very hard for visitors to read the text as it will all be crammed together.

Whitespace around blocks of text and images is key, as is line spacing. Give your text plenty of room to breathe and don't try to cram too much in to any area.

Text Size

Not everyone prefers to read fonts of the same size. People with poor vision typically like larger fonts because it prevents straining of the eyes, but others may prefer to read smaller text. Styling your text in percentages or ems instead of pixels will allow visitors to use their browser to change the text size.

Also, use font sizes to emphasize certain text, such as headlines. Increase the size of certain lines will help it to stand out, but this is only effective if it is used in moderation.

Font Families

When working to make a site readable, it is best to stick to web-safe fonts like Arial and Georgia. Other fonts may look nice, but you will not have control over which visitors are able to view it in your favorite font. Newer technologies like sIFR do make it possible to use a much wider variety of fonts.

One of the main causes of poor readability is choosing the wrong font or using too many different fonts. Generally you should stick with no more than 2-3 fonts on any website, otherwise it can impair readability.

Line Width

As modern desktops and laptops are coming with higher-resolution displays, and widescreen monitors are very common, websites are often being designed with more width than they were just a few years ago.

Keep in mind when designing that very wide or long lines of text can be difficult to read, as can very short or narrow lines of text. Most content areas are not wider than 600-700 pixels, because anything can larger can get rather difficult to read.

Font Weight

Bold text can obviously be very effective for helping text to stand out, but it should be used in moderation. Overuse of bold, or italics for that matter, can decrease the level of readability and it will lose its impact.

Distractions

Websites that feature excellent readability allow the text to be the focal point of the design. Having too many other bells and whistles for the sake of looking impressive can actually do more harm than good as it will take away from the emphasis on the text.

Had things happened differently, Nick Diaz would forever be part of MMA history. Regardless of how his career transpired after February, 2007 he should have been remembered as part of one of the greatest fights ever. His PRIDE 33 matchup against Takanori Gomi should have created a legacy like the first Forrest Griffin/Stephan Bonnar bout, only it was better. It was a mixed martial arts version of Gatti/Ward or Castillo/Corrales 1. It should have been the biggest victory of Diazs career and the centerpiece of his highlight reel.

Unfortunately, Diazs moment of glory lasted only about six weeks. On April 10th, the Nevada Athletic Commission announced that hed failed a drug test. Diaz had tested positive for marijuana, and his THC level was off the charts. The Nevada Athletic Commission considers a THC level over 50 a positive result for marijuana usage. Nick Diazs THC level was an astounding 175 and that led NSAC Chairman Dr. Tony Alamo to speculate that in this situation marijuana was a performance enhancing drug. The rationale was that during the fight Diaz was feeling no pain"literally. Diaz was fined, suspended and the result of his almost certain fight of the year winner with Gomi changed to a no decision.

Diaz had singlehandedly removed the luster from a classic bout. Following an action packed and very close first round Gomi took control in the second. Gomi had opened a cut on Diazs face and it was bleeding a gusher. On several occasions Gomi implored the referee to stop the fight, or at least check on the cut due to the excessive blood flow. With the ref showing no signs of stopping the fight and Diaz hanging tough, Gomi took the fight to the ground and in a matter of seconds found himself forced to tap out to a gogoplata. Looking at the fight now, the action is the same but theres something absent from it on a spiritual level. Had Diaz not tested positive and the result stood it would have become a classic fight. As it turned out, it became more of a case study demonstrating just how much pain a stoned mixed martial artist can withstand.

While Diaz might not be a bad person, hes definitely someone who attracts trouble. Instead of learning a lesson from the experience of his positive drug test, he became a more outspoken advocate of marijuana use. While the relative risk pot smoking is debatable and beyond the purview of this article one thing is certain"fighters are prohibited from its use. Sadly, it appears that Diaz places a greater value on his recreational drug use than his legacy as a professional prizefighter.

Ironically, Japans notoriously lax oversight of mixed martial arts makes it a perfect fit for Diaz. He doesnt have to worry about drug tests or athletic commissions who arent sympathetic to his claiming a need for medical marijuana. His workrate, conditioning and versatility as a fighter will be appreciated by the Japanese fans, and offers countless matchup opportunities for the promotion. Most significantly, perhaps, his participation with Japanese promotions DREAM or Sengoku provides Diaz the opportunity to put his missteps behind him and reassert himself as one of the sports most exciting fighters and not as a 'cautionary tale'.

Motherboards are electrical hubs of a computer. Motherboards are sometimes called system boards or mainboards. Motherboards typically contain the following components: electrical sockets for the CPU, sockets for the main memory, chipset to interface, non-volatile memory chips including the basic input/output system (BIOS), a clock generator, power connector flickers, input device connectors and expansion slots.

The motherboard has electrical sockets for the microprocessor. There can be more than one microprocessor on the motherboard. The microprocessor is also referred to as a CPU, or central processing unit. The CPU is where execution of computer programs takes place.

Motherboards contain the sockets for the system?s main memory, usually comprised of dual inline memory modules. These are also called DIMM modules. They contain dynamic random access memory chips. These are also known as DRAM chips.

Motherboards contain chipsets, which are a group of integrated circuits creating an interface between the main memory and peripheral buses. The chipset is normally referred to in two parts the Northbridge and the Southbridge. Northbridge links high-speed devices, such as graphics controllers.
